Report of Sustainability, Municipal Services, and Climate Resilience Commitees on Gas Leaf Blowers,L
Based on the available scientific, public health, and environmental literature related to gas leaf blowers (GLBs), and informed by the experience in neighboring communities that have expanded regulations on the use of GLBs, as well as those that have eliminated the municipal leaf collection practice of leaf vacuuming, the Committees conclude that further regulation by the Village of Scarsdale is both warranted and within the community’s interest to preserve public health, mitigate pollution, and promote environmental sustainability goals.
