As the Scarsdale Board of Trustees develops a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit bids from potential developers for the Freightway site redevelopment project, the Scarsdale Forum's Downtown Revitalization Committee recommends that the conclusions of its recent surveys
and reports be considered as an integral part of the board's evaluation and selection process. Earlier this week, the committee sent a summary of its findings to the Board of Trustees with the intent that it be used to inform AKRF, the consulting firm retained by the Board of Trustees to advise on the project, as well as prospective developers about its findings on what residents and business owners want to see in Scarsdale Village Center, as well as suggestions to revitalize the area.
